The Educator’s Journey through American Education (EJAE) Washington, D.C. Fellowship is a cultural and educational exchange designed to explore the U.S. education system, foster cross-cultural understanding, and share innovative teaching practices.

In May 2024, Maricruz Yujra Apaza, a dedicated teacher from La Paz, Bolivia, embarked on an enriching Professional Travel Grant to Washington, D.C., and Virginia. Hosted by the Colorado Chapter of Partners of the Americas and sponsored by the U.S. Department of StatePartners of the Americas, and the La Paz y el Altiplano Chapter, Maricruz worked closely with teachers and education advocates on Capitol Hill. Through this hands-on experience, she gained invaluable insights to bring back to Bolivia, enhancing education and strengthening the bonds between Bolivia and the United States.
